Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Good Samaritan provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care settings, under supervision. They demonstrate nursing knowledge, perform testing as needed, and respond to emergencies with appropriate actions.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, and maintaining confidentiality while working with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program with LPN license.
• ND IV therapy training or course required if IV duties.
• Minimum clinical experience or 400 hours as LPN at another facility.
• Unencumbered LPN license and ongoing CEU/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents under supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and collaborate with the care team.
• Support health, comfort and safety of residents.
