Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking an RN II to provide nursing care in the Lexington County Detention Center. The role requires leading assigned team members, collaborating with multidisciplinary staff, and delivering patient-centered care within a secure correctional setting.

Responsibilities include acute and ongoing nursing care, coordination with officers, and strict adherence to safety, PREA, and documentation standards. BSN preferred with at least one year RN experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Minimum one year of RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and leads other assigned team members, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Addresses physical, emotional, cultural, religious, and environmental needs with patient-centered care.
• Documents care in accordance with correctional medical record requirements and chain-of-custody considerations.
• Corrections-specific duties: respond to emergencies within the secure perimeter, coordinate with correctional officers, and maintain security and safety protocols.
