Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) seeks an RN II to provide comprehensive nursing care at Lexington County Detention Center. You will lead a caregiving team, assess and plan patient needs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff in a secure correctional environment.

The role requires an RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and at least one year of RN experience, with opportunities for shift differentials and professional governance involvement.

Qualifications

• RN with SC Board licensure or compact state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.
• Minimum one year RN experience.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with eligibility for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process across shifts.
• Direct and lead other team members in patient care.
• Respond promptly to emergencies within the secure facility.
• Coordinate with correctional officers for safe inmate movement.
• Maintain strict control of sharps, medications, and tools.
• Document care per medical record and PREA standards.
