Qualifications

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
• Possesses an active CPR certification.
• Remains knowledgeable about state laws governing practice.
• Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a systematic approach to meet health needs of patients.
• Implements nursing care within LPN scope of practice.
• Assists in development and implementation of teaching plans focusing on health promotion, maintenance, and restoration.
• Cares for wounds with cleaning and dressing.
