Job summary

Good Samaritan’s Canistota facility in Canistota, SD seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care in a long-term care setting. You will work under a RN/physician supervision, administer medications, and support residents according to care plans.

The role requires an LPN license with clinical experience; evening/night shifts are possible, with a 40-hour work week and a potential sign-on bonus. Benefits are provided based on status.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• IV therapy/management skills (ND exemption when applicable).
• Must have completed a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience or 400 hours as LPN at another facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long term care under supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to support resident needs.

Education

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse

Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred

IV therapy/management skills (ND exemption when applicable)

Pre-licensure nursing program with clinical hours or 400 hours LPN experience

Current unencumbered LPN license and required competencies
