Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting, under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. You will assess residents, administer medications, and contribute to care planning.

Ideal candidates hold an LPN license, may have an associate degree, and are comfortable with night shifts and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN; associate degree preferred.
• If IV therapy is required, complete board-approved IV therapy coursework.
• Active LPN license and multi-state or state licensure; maintain CEUs and competencies.
• Minimum 400 hours LPN experience or supervised clinical experience across lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate with residents and care team.
