Job summary

Woodlands Retirement Community in Huntington, WV seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-quality resident care on a 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. shift.

You will coordinate with the nurse team and care planning staff, perform treatments, document care, and respond to resident needs. A WV license and practical nursing program completion are required; CPR/First-Aid preferred. Applicants should have at least six months of long-term care experience and demonstrate compassion, teamwork, and strong

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; successful completion of a West Virginia state-approved Licensed Nursing program
• Current Nursing license in West Virginia; CPR and First-Aid certification preferred
• Six months' prior nursing experience in long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized direct care and attention to promote residents' well-being
• Coordinate with the charge nurse and care planning staff; update plans as needed
• Assist CNAs in grooming, bathing, feeding, and mobility while maintaining dignity
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and safety during care and documentation
• Complete nursing assessments and accurately document findings and observations
• Report changes in resident condition promptly to licensed staff and supervisor
