Job summary

Woodlands Retirement Community in Huntington, WV is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide quality nursing care to residents during the overnight shift. The role requires a WV nursing license, CPR/First-Aid, and familiarity with long-term care processes. You will coordinate with the charge nurse and other departments to support resident care plans.

Expect to work 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; successful completion of a West Virginia state-approved Licensed Nursing program
• Licensure/Certification: a current Nursing license in West Virginia; CPR and First-Aid certification preferred
• Experience: Six months' prior nursing experience in long-term care preferred
• Zero Tolerance: Must successfully pass drug and background checks.
• Schedule: 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. with weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized direct care and attention to residents
• Coordinate care with the charge nurse and care planning staff
• Accurately document resident information and follow physician orders
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all residents
• Assist with mobilization, hygiene, feeding, and daily activities
• Collaborate with staff, residents, families, and visitors as needed
