Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse for the Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center in Avenel, NJ. This on-site night-shift role requires providing total patient care under RN supervision in a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• CPR Certification
• Valid Driver's License is required. Must possess own vehicle or alternative means of transportation from one site to another

Responsibilities

• Participates in data collection related to the patients' status and needs.
• Provides direct patient care within scope of practice to ensure implementation of the plan of care.
• Informs and instructs patients/significant others on patient's health/illness state and plan of care.
• Assists patient/significant other in preparation for discharge and health maintenance in the home.
• Documents all aspects of patient care.
