Job summary

Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL, is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team on nights. You will work under the RN team to provide direct, compassionate patient care that supports stability and safety during the overnight shift.

This role emphasizes empathy and steady presence on a unit where behavioral health care makes a real difference. New grads are welcome to apply, and CPI training is encouraged within the first month.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current Illinois LPN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Willingness to complete CPI training within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using core vocational nursing skills and techniques.
• Work under RN supervision to carry out patient care tasks and support the care plan.
• Communicate and collaborate closely with RNs and the rest of the care team.
• Help ensure patients receive safe, attentive, and compassionate care throughout the night shift.
