Job summary

Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN) for Behavioral Health to join the overnight team. This role offers a night shift, under RN supervision, delivering direct, compassionate care and contributing to stability and safety for patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current Illinois LPN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Willingness to complete CPI training within 1 month of hire.
• Clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Physical stamina and emotional resilience for a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using core vocational nursing skills and techniques.
• Work under RN supervision to carry out patient care tasks and support the broader care plan.
• Communicate and collaborate closely with RNs and the rest of the care team.
• Help ensure patients receive safe, attentive, and compassionate care throughout the night shift.
