Job summary

Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join our private psychiatric hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time role focuses on inpatient care for adolescents (12-17) with a schedule of 7pm–7am on two weekdays and alternating weekends.

You will develop therapeutic nurse-patient relationships, apply nursing processes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, quality care. A valid NC Nursing License and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Current NC State Nursing License (or compact state).
• Minimum one year nursing experience.
• CPR & First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a therapeutic nurse-patient relationship.
• Demonstrates nursing processes and clinical skills for mental and physical health needs.
• Ensures safe, high-quality, cost-effective care and protects patient confidentiality.
• Educates patients and families about medications and care management.
• Collaborates with the care team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
