Job summary

UNC Health Youth Behavioral Health (YBH) in Butner, NC seeks a licensed practical nurse to join a multidisciplinary team providing care to pediatric patients in crisis stabilization and behavioral health settings.

The LPN will work on a 36-hour week across three 12-hour shifts, with a focus on psychiatric, behavioral, medical, and psychosocial needs, in a 54-bed, 24-hour locked facility. Orientation in Chapel Hill and cross-unit training are included.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from a state accredited Practical Nurse program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in North Carolina; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and maintain individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Assist on Dogwood unit with multidisciplinary treatments and crisis stabilization.
