Job summary

Biagi-Bros is seeking a Logistics Dispatch Coordinator to oversee the movement of trucks and freight, ensuring efficient pickups and deliveries. You will allocate requests among drivers, consolidate freight into truckloads, and plan routes while maintaining accurate billing records.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in warehouse and freight operations and strong MS Office skills. A valid driver’s license and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• CC degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years experience in warehouse and freight operations.
• Excellent computer skills to keep accurate records of all vehicle movements.
• Past dispatch/logistics experience preferred.
• Effective professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of office procedures such as maintaining files, organization and attention to detail.
• Active driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct the movement of trucks and freight to ensure pickups and deliveries are efficient and timely.
• Record and allocate all delivery and pickup requests within territories among drivers.
• Consolidate freight orders into truckloads for specific destinations.
• Select vehicle routes and prepare pickup and delivery schedules.
• Record information for proper billing and assign drivers and trucks.
• Call extra drivers as needed to handle surge volume.
• Maintain contact with trucks and dispatch for emergencies or repairs.
• Record and maintain logs, requests, inventory, and related dispatch information.
• Keep vehicle inventory records and supervise maintenance schedules.
