Job summary

Silgan Containers in Burlington, Iowa is seeking a manufacturing associate for a 12-hour night shift (6:00pm–6:00am). Starting wage is $20.90 per hour with evaluations and pay increases every six months for the first two years.

Qualifications

• Ability to work at high speeds and multitask.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment effectively and efficiently to keep production lines at maximum productivity
• Monitors quality of product and follows established protocols when defects are found
• Performs rework effectively and efficiently to keep Hold inventory at minimum levels
• Complete all required documents for purposes of tractability, production reporting and quality requirements
• Work with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost and productivity
• Other duties as assigned by management
