Job summary

La Palma Intercommunity Hospital in Los Angeles, CA, is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician for night shifts. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and support the ER triage process, with emphasis on EMTALA guidelines and safe, compassionate service.

The role requires an active LVN or LPT license, current BLS, and preferred IV certification and 1+ year experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as LVN or LPT.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• IV certification upon hire preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services within the scope of practice under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Meet the communication needs of patients and families and ensure safe, compassionate care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA regulations and triage in the ER setting.
