Job summary

AdventHealth in Land O' Lakes, Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures, manage patient records, and operate respiratory equipment during night shifts.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in hospital respiratory care, RRT certification, BLS, ACLS, and strong supervisory abilities. NRP/PALS are preferred, with dedication to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy or cardiopulmonary science required.
• 3+ years hospital experience as an RRT required.
• 1+ year of critical care experience required.
• RRT certification required; BLS and ACLS required; NRP/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and conducts therapeutic procedures, maintains patient records, and operates respiratory equipment.
• Responds to emergency codes, maintaining airway, intubation, chest compressions, and ventilator setup.
• Determines treatment requirements including type, duration, precautions, and medications per orders.
• Performs diagnostic testing per facility needs.
• Monitors patients' responses to therapy and communicates with providers about changes.
