Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools is seeking a Custodian for Lakeville South High School to oversee cleaning and maintenance, with responsibilities for night shifts and leadership of custodial staff.

The role requires a High School diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders. Duties include routine cleaning, minor repairs, and event set-ups, with opportunities to support security and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb an 8-foot step ladder and/or up to a height of 12-feet.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the school and its site and provides leadership for night custodians.
• Cleans classrooms, offices, hallways, entryways, restrooms, and other common areas of the school on a regular basis and after events.
• Coordinates additional tasks for night custodians and substitutes as needed and as directed by the Chief Custodian.
• Keeps custodial records as assigned by the Chief Custodian and as required.
• Performs minor building maintenance, including bulb replacement, furniture repair, and basic repairs to plumbing, heating and electrical equipment.
• Sets up furniture and equipment for school and community use.
• Regulates heat, ventilation and air conditioning systems, as directed by the Chief Custodian.
