Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Lead Custodian for mid shift/night duties at Kansas City, Missouri locations. The role supports maintenance, safety and cleanliness for students and staff, reporting to the Area Manager.

The position offers a non-exempt, full-time schedule with hourly pay starting at $21.85 and potential increases up to $31.62 per hour. Benefits include health/dental insurance and a pension plan as part of KCPS offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience: job related experience is desired.
• Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities include communication, organization and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading/unloading trucks to distribute materials.
• Clean facilities to maintain a sanitary, safe environment.
• Communicate with district personnel via email, phone or written message.
• Conduct training on safety and emergency procedures as assigned.
• Coordinate shift schedules and staffing with area manager.
