Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for per diem night shifts in the Lab department. You will perform clerical duties, greet patients, assist in specimen collection, and support pre-analytic processing under supervision.

The position requires a HS Diploma or equivalent, with a preference for 1 year of clinical laboratory experience. State CPT I/II certification if required, and a current BLS certificate.

Formación

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical lab experience preferred.
• State CPT I or CPT II certification if required by the state.
• Current BLS certificate preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform clerical duties including computer entry and filing.
• Greet patients and visitors professionally and maintain courteous interactions.
• Demonstrate good communication and knowledge of lab test terminology.
• Assist in specimen collection and pre-analytic processing under supervision.
• Stock supplies and maintain clean storage and work areas.
• Assist in pathology with training and evaluation.
• Follow CLIA guidelines and work under licensed supervision.
