Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Riverdale, GA is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN to provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns before, during, and after birth. Responsibilities include maternal monitoring, labor support, IV therapy, and newborn assessment in a hospital setting.

The role requires current RN licensure with BSN preferred and required certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, fetal monitoring). Sign-on bonus of $15,000 is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications with renewals in required timeframes.
• Fetal monitoring training/certification within specified periods.
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maternal monitoring: track vitals and watch for preeclampsia or infection.
• Labor support: assist patient positioning, breathing techniques, comfort measures.
• IV therapy: start/maintain IVs for hydration, meds, anesthesia.
• Patient advocacy: support patient birth plans and cultural needs.
• Newborn care: assess newborn, Apgar scoring, cord clamping, prophylaxis.
