Job summary

Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery unit in Ann Arbor. This part-time role covers the night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with every other weekend and holiday requirements for full-time and part-time staff.

The department operates with 24/7 in-house providers including obstetricians, midwives, OB residents, pediatricians, neonatologists, and anesthesiologists. A BSN is preferred and licensure must be current in Michigan with required ACLS in specified areas.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nursing program with the ability to sit for the NCLEX to become licensed as an RN. BSN preferred.
• New graduates must schedule licensure exam within 45 days of hire.
• Current Michigan RN license and BLS; ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Uses teach-back to educate patient and family.
• Seeks to prevent hospital-acquired conditions.
• Communicates patient status and priorities during rounds and handoffs.
• Follows HIPAA policies and hospital mission, vision and values.
