Job summary

Northwest Medical Center's Women’s Center in Tucson seeks an experienced L&D RN to provide patient-centered care for mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum. You will coordinate care, monitor fetal well-being, administer medications, support families, and work within a team to ensure safety and high quality outcomes.

The role requires 1-2 years of L&D experience in acute care, RN licensure, BCLS, and a commitment to infection control and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of L&D nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and clinical practices.
• Ability to educate patients and families.
• Ability to respond to medical emergencies and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process and policies.
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop care plans.
• Educate patients and families on care, post-discharge steps, and safety.
