Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join the team in St. Paul, MN. The role involves receiving specimens, evaluating orders, performing extractions and analyses, preparing reagents, and ensuring data integrity. You will maintain instruments, follow quality control procedures, and document all activities per SOP.

New grads are welcome and full training is provided. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science and may include overtime to meet lab needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient with computers and laboratory information systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive specimens for testing and evaluate orders to determine priority.
• Adhere to SOPs during extractions and analysis.
• Prepare reagents and standard solutions per SOP.
• Evaluate data and ensure accuracy; interpret results for final report.
• Maintain, calibrate and clean instrumentation; perform routine maintenance and checks.
• Follow QC rules and maintain laboratory records and logs.
