Job summary

Waypoint Analytical is seeking a soil laboratory professional to prepare soil samples and assist with testing procedures. You will operate lab equipment, document results, and help manage inventory of consumables and parts. A commitment to safety and accuracy is essential.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of environmental lab experience, with the ability to work a night shift (6 pm–8 am) as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to work night shift (schedule hours fall between 6 pm-8 am; variable hours worked per week depending on business need).

Responsibilities

• Prepare soil samples for a wide variety of testing procedures, following outlined methodologies and SOPs.
• Operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation.
• Document activities and report results accurately and concisely.
• Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and work areas.

• Other duties as required.
