Job summary

Pilot Chemical Company is seeking a Lab Technician for the night shift at the Middletown manufacturing site. You will manage and improve lab processes, calibrate and test equipment, and ensure compliance with the ISO quality system.

The role requires basic to advanced lab skills, the ability to work 5pm–5am on a 2-2-3 schedule, and a focus on quality and safety. Competitive benefits and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in lab-focused science with relevant coursework.
• Two years of full-time lab tech experience can substitute for degree.
• Willingness to work night shift and holidays on a rotating schedule.
• Experience with lab equipment calibration, ISO procedures, and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Quality testing and certification of products.
• Calibrate, inspect, measure, and perform in-process and final testing per ISO procedures.
• Care for and maintain laboratory equipment assets.
• Standardize solutions and calibrate equipment as scheduled.
• Handle and inventory solvents safely.
• Maintain SQC charts and report trends to QC Supervisor.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and process sample requests.
• Keep the lab clean, organized, and compliant with policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in the lab.
