Job summary

Pace Analytical is seeking a Lab Technician 1 for an on-site role in Asheville, NC. The position supports daily lab operations, sample preparation and documentation, and serves as a team member helping to ensure safety and compliance in a lab environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred related lab experience. Candidates will assist with maintaining logs, handling materials, and supporting the analytical testing process in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; experience in related work is preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, equipment, safety, cleanliness, and related areas.
• Supports analytical testing process using standard lab support knowledge in the collection and review of conditions, including preserving samples, completing sample preparation, documenting and communicating results.
• Picks up, transports, and maintains results, samples, documents, materials and other items as needed.
• Disposes of laboratory materials and samples using well established guidelines and instructions.
• Reviews, completes and processes standard logs, documents, databases, and related materials and information.
• Provides fundamental support in the application and assistance to staff and management regarding lab support policies, programs and practices.
