Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. seeks a Lab Supervisor for San Antonio, TX, on a night shift (11:30 PM–8:00 AM) with rotational weekends. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring timely and accurate test results, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will oversee testing, train staff, perform evaluations, and participate in audits, with opportunities for a performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years full-time supervisory experience.
• New York State Inspection Lab Requirements.
• 6 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department activities, assign work, determine priorities, schedule non-routine procedures.
• Perform supervisory functions including interviewing, hiring, training and staff development through performance evaluation.
• Perform advanced/specialized tests and other related laboratory techniques; re-evaluate methodology and assist in interpretation.
• Check/approve all specialized and problem reports for accuracy.
• Initiate quality-control measures and monitor quality of work for adherence to laboratory standards.
• Perform duties of technologist as needed by absence or peak workload.
• Complete special projects such as surveys, reports and studies.
• Maintain laboratory areas and equipment in a safe, sanitary condition.
