Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Irving, TX seeks a Lab Supervisor to plan, organize, and direct the work of the section to maximize personnel, equipment, and material utilization within budget while upholding quality standards. The role requires Blood Bank and Hematology experience and supervisory capability.

The position offers a Tuesday to Saturday shift 1:00 AM to 9:30 AM with potential for annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of Blood Bank and Hematology experience
• 1 year of Supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee activities of the department, distribute/assign work, determine priorities, schedule non-routine procedures.
• Perform supervisory functions for assigned staff including interviewing, hiring, training and providing staff development through performance evaluation and corrective counseling.
• Perform advanced/specialized tests and other related laboratory techniques; re-evaluate methodology and assist in test interpretation.
• Check/approve all specialized and problem reports for accuracy.
• Initiate quality-control measures and monitor quality of work for adherence to laboratory standards.
