Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a candidate for a food safety laboratory role in the United States. The position involves performing various chemistry, microbiology, and quality system procedures with high precision, data collection, and adherence to training outcomes.

A strong emphasis on growth after training and proficiency is required. The role requires maintaining ISO records, working with Labware LIMS and Microsoft Office, and collaborating with team members while occasionally substituting

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent experience). College-level courses or a degree in chemistry, microbiology, or a related science field preferred.
• Experience and/or Expertise: Previous laboratory experience or technical training in a related field preferred.
• Communication Skills: Good reading, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
• Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft office and Labware LIMS applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform complex work instructions and/or operate sophisticated equipment without close supervision.
• Able to work independently and resolve routine problems.
• Maintain ISO records for process control and comply with quality system and safety requirements.
• Will be expected to cross-train and be capable of substituting for absent team members in specific areas and comply with quality system and safety requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
