Job summary

Porter Medical Center, part of the University of Vermont Health Network, is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for the night shift to support the Laboratory Services team in Middlebury, Vermont. The role covers lab customer service, phlebotomy, order entry and specimen processing, with a 36-hour workweek and benefits eligibility.

Strong English communication, high school diploma, and preferred phlebotomy certification are required or encouraged.

Qualifications

• English reading/writing speaking required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Certification from a nationally recognized agency is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lab Order Entry including handling of patient information and test results.
• Specimen Processing and Shipment of samples to Reference Labs
