Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks appropriate to patient age.
• Accepts specimens and requisitions from internal and external customers.
• Identifies patients and specimens using two identifiers and labels correctly.
• Registers and logs specimens in the LIS and documents required data.
• Performs specimen processing and documentation per protocol.
• Supports efficient workflow and quality/safety standards.
