Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Lab Assistant II for a Monday–Friday night shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role supports the Toxicology (Pain Management) department, performing routine lab tasks and specimen handling with attention to safety and accuracy.

Eligibility includes a high school diploma and one year of lab experience; benefits include comprehensive plans and potential performance bonuses. Initial pay starts with a base plus second/third shift differentials where applicable.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory.
• Familiar with lab policies, safety rules and documentation.
• Able to follow procedures with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, handle and prepare specimens.
• Assist with pre-analytical prep of specimens and tracking in LIS.
• Record digital temperatures and notify when out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and prepare chemicals/reagents.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper storage.
