Job summary

ATI is seeking a Lab Analyst to join our Millersburg, Oregon team. This night shift position operates a 12-hour fixed Pitman Schedule, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, from 7:00pm to 7:00am, offering a predictable rhythm and built-in overtime.

You will prepare and analyze samples using ICP-OES and ICP-MS, perform dissolution techniques, and carry out wet and gravimetric analyses while contributing to continuous improvement in the Analytical Laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science with at least 1 year of lab experience, or a 2-year degree with 2 years of lab experience.
• Experience operating ICP-OES and ICP-MS is preferred.
• Strong safety, communication, and attention to detail are required.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to Daily Management Board communication and information-sharing activities
• Demonstrates Safety as a value with routine safety contacts and hazard abatements
• Evaluates and prioritizes incoming samples
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on instruments
• Maintains minimum inventory of critical items with laboratory purchasing
• Performs basic problem-solving and supports root cause analyses
• Processes analytical data for entry into LIMS database
• Participates in continuous improvement activities
