Job summary

Gopher Resource is seeking a Lab Analyst to monitor production processes, collect and analyze samples, and ensure safety and quality standards. The role involves supporting Shift Supervisors with instrumentation troubleshooting and communicating analysis results to guide process adjustments.

The position requires at least 2 years in a lab or similar operation, a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's in Chemistry preferred), and the ability to work 4pm-4am on a rotating schedule with PPE in hot

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years in a laboratory or production operation.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Willing to wear PPE in hot environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems to identify and resolve problems quickly.
• Test and analyze samples for sulfur content.
• Collect, prepare, and analyze smelting process samples.
• Analyze slag samples for TCLP analysis.
• Perform lab analyses on materials and chemicals (ICP-OES, SS-OES).
• Calibrate and check analytical instruments and probes.
• Operate high-volume air monitors.
• Help establish lab procedures and safety practices.
• Advise shift managers on technical issues and train staff.
