Job summary

Sagis Diagnostics in Houston, TX is seeking a Full Time Accessioner to enter specimen data into the laboratory information system, verify requests, and ensure accurate patient and physician details while maintaining quality and speed in a CAP-accredited lab. This entry-level role requires a minimum High School diploma, a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM, and strong attention to detail.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 6:30 pm to 3:00 am onsite, with opportunities for advancement into medical

Qualifications

High school education or equivalent REQUIRED.
MUST be able to type at least 40 WPM.
Demonstrated ability to follow procedures.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry or similar fields for advancement.

Responsibilities

Enter specimen data into the laboratory information system.
Make sure the proper request forms have been used.
Make sure the requisition is properly identified with patient/physician details.
Label specimen bottles with accession numbers and patient information.
Perform other tasks in the laboratory as deemed necessary by the Laboratory Supervisor.
