Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated Specimen Accessioning team member in Houston, TX for the 3rd shift (Mon–Fri, 9:00 PM–5:30 AM) with rotating Saturdays. You will prepare specimens, unpack, label, and route samples, and ensure accurate data entry while meeting production goals.

Preferred candidates have Labcorp experience or 1+ year in a lab, healthcare, or manufacturing setting and can lift up to 40 lbs. Excellent attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: Labcorp experience.
• 1+ year in a lab or specimen processing.
• 1+ year in a clinical laboratory environment.
• 1+ year in healthcare (e.g., physician’s office, clinic, hospital).
• 1+ year in an assembly/manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Enter patient data accurately and timely.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
