Job summary

Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital in Houston, TX is seeking an L&D Certified Surgical Technologist for night shifts (7pm–7am) to join our perioperative team. The CST will serve as a scrub assistant to the physician for operative/invasive procedures and ensure aseptic technique and patient safety throughout the case.

Required BLS and graduation from a Surgical Technologist program, with 3+ years of L&D experience preferred; CST is preferred but grandfathered techs may be considered.

Qualifications

• New Grad <1 year
• Surg Tech I =1 year
• Surg Tech II = 2-4 years
• Surg Tech III = 5+ years

Responsibilities

• Supports unit goals and acts as a resource for the assigned OR area.
• Demonstrates aseptic and advanced surgical techniques for patient care.
• Verifies supplies/equipment prior to procedures per surgeon's card.
• Promotes professional growth and mentors staff; provides orientation and in-service training.
• Models Memorial Hermann service standards by delivering safe, caring experiences.
• Other duties as assigned.
