Job summary

This RN Shift Supervisor role supports the Director/Manager, supervising daily department activities and mentoring staff to ensure excellent outcomes.

The position requires an RN with an active license and BLS, BSN preferred, and experience in Staff Nurse roles.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing with four years of Staff Nurse experience, or a BSN with two years in the department preferred.
• Active RN license and BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc may be required depending upon area assigned.
• Strong knowledge of trauma/ED standards and patient care leadership.

Responsibilities

• The RN - Shift Supervisor shall assist the Director/Manager by supervising daily department activities.
• Facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for quality patient care.
• Serve as a mentor and team lead for the staff; provide leadership in patient care.
