Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Night Shift Labor and Delivery RN (7p–7a) to support high‑quality maternal and newborn care. The role requires providing safe nursing care, neonatal assessments, and coordination of interdisciplinary plans of care in a busy Maternal Child Unit.

The position requires Florida RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and a nursing degree. Minimum 1 year RN experience; AWHONN and NRP training to be completed within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• L&D RN license in Florida is required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• AWHONN Intermediate course and NRP must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (Level II).

Responsibilities

• Assists with breastfeeding.
• Assesses neonates at delivery and performs neonatal resuscitation.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments on obstetrical patients.
• Initiates transitional care on the newborn.
• Circulates in the operating room.
• Manages labor patients and postpartum care.
• Assists during epidural anesthesia.
• Maintains FPQC goals and obstetrics patient safety practices.
