Job summary

Clinical Management Consultants is assisting a California hospital in Madera with recruiting for an Assistant Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery. This high-visibility, night-shift leadership role will guide frontline practice, shape overnight operations, and maintain close ties to clinical decisions that define safe obstetric care.

The leader will oversee a high-volume Women’s Services program with private L&D rooms, a Level II NICU, and a large, interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maternal-child health or labor and delivery teams is preferred.
• Strong clinical leadership and decision-making in high-acuity obstetric care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary operational leader for night shift in Labor & Delivery.
• Oversee staffing, patient flow, clinical escalation, and throughput across L&D and related services.
• Collaborate with obstetric providers, lactation consultants, NICU staff, and nursing leadership to drive quality and safety.
