Job summary
Clinical Management Consultants is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery for an experienced, high-acuity obstetric unit. The role guides staffing, throughput, quality, and daily operations while remaining closely connected to frontline nursing practice.
Reporting to senior nursing leadership, you will coach charge nurses, optimize patient flow across Obstetrics, Women's Services, and NICU teams, and drive safety and performance initiatives within a multidisciplinary environment.
Qualifications
- RN with BLS/ACLS preferred
- Leadership experience in labor and delivery
- Experience in high-acuity obstetric settings
Responsibilities
- Coach charge nurses and bedside staff to maintain staffing and quality of care
- Oversee patient flow, throughput, and daily operations in Labor and Delivery
- Collaborate with obstetricians, maternal–fetal medicine, NICU teams and ancillary departments to optimize outcomes
