Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking an Inpatient Veterinary Technician to work in the IMC, ICU, and ER sections of Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital. The role includes after-hours and weekend shifts and requires an Alabama veterinary license.

The position offers rabies vaccination coverage, opportunities to work with rotating interns, and collaboration with clinicians to support patient flow and high-quality care.

Formación

• Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field qualifying certification.
• Active license with Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medicine; licensure must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with administering treatments and monitoring patients admitted in IMC or ICU, observes vital data and records, and collects specimens.
• Performs veterinary care techniques for emergency and critical care medicine.
• Assists veterinarians with life-saving procedures including CPR, mechanical ventilation and dialysis.
• Inspects facilities, equipment, and sanitation daily.
• Eligible for after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage and emergency triage/stabilization responsibilities.
• May assist in billing clients and inputting charges.

Educación

Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology

Active license with Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medicine
