Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Full-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for the Night shift (7p–7a). A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include filling/delivering medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring adequate supplies, and maintaining quality assurance per regulatory standards. Requirements include Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required) and CPhT license preferred.

Qualifications

• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License is required in the state of practice.
• CPhT license preferred (NHA or PTCB).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner.
• Triages and escalates questions outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice.
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information (Epic).
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements.
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately.
