Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.

• Must remain calm when under stress or in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN regarding patient observations (skin changes, vital signs, mental status).
• Maintain constant observation of high‑risk patients as assigned.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output; assist in measurements.
• Perform EKGs, POC tests, bladder scanning and collect specimens for lab transport.
• Assist with treatments and prepare equipment for procedures; provide emotional support to patients.
• Replenish supplies and respond to unit changes; read communications and emails regularly.
