Job summary

HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, IL seeks a Nursing Assistant (CNA/PCT) to support inpatient Med Surg patients on the night shift.

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will provide direct and indirect patient care and assist the care team with comfort and wellness. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, CNA or PCT certification with 6 months experience (or more than one year with no certification), and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience and certification.
• CNA or PCT certification required with 6 months experience; certification not required with >1 year experience.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and non-direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist care team with clinical tasks and comforting presence.
• Serve as a versatile member of the care team to support patient wellness.
