Job summary

State of Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Direct Care and Treatment division. You will provide professional nursing care, assess patient needs, and develop individualized care plans in a secure inpatient psychiatric hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, discharge planning, and collaboration with the care team. A Minnesota RN license is required or eligible, with a nursing incentive up to $10,000 offered in some cases.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota.
• Future RNs within six months of graduating and taking the NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing assessments of each patient’s biopsychosocial needs
• Develop initial nursing plan of care
• Perform charge nurse duties
• Apply interventions identified in the treatment plan and document all nursing care
• Facilitate and co-facilitate group programming
• Interact respectfully with all patients while maintaining professional boundaries
• Provide input on patients’ progress and recommend changes to the treatment plan
• Participate in discharge planning with the patient and other team members

Education

RN licensure Minnesota

NCLEX-RN eligibility within 6 months
