Job summary

Silgan Containers in Triadelphia, West Virginia is seeking an Injection Operator for the night shift (6:30pm–6:45am). This full-time, on-site role requires starting up injection molding machines, monitoring runs, and ensuring quality and accurate packaging with proper paperwork and safety compliance.

The operator will identify and report nonconformities, maintain a clean and safe work area, and assist with end-of-shift documentation for the next team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production paperwork for machine start-up and operation.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected into storage boxes and counted correctly.
• Pull shots for quality checks following machine re-starts or as needed.
• Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA.
• Evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards.
• Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns.
• Evaluate and document machine performance.
• Tape boxes shut, label the boxes, and stack for shipment.
• Prepare paperwork at the end of the shift for the following shift, noting any problems or exceptions that occurred.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures
• Start up Injection molding machines
• Clean out grinders
• Trouble shoot minor machine/part issues
