Job summary

Silgan Specialty Packaging in West Virginia seeks a dedicated manufacturing associate to support production processes and ensure product safety and quality. You will prepare paperwork, monitor machines, and assist with quality checks to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities include documenting performance, labeling packages, maintaining clean work areas, and following safety rules. This role is on-site with full-time hours at our Triadelphia facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production paperwork for machine start-up and operation.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected into storage boxes and are counted correctly.
• Pull shots for quality checks following machine re-starts or as needed.
• Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA.
• Evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards.
• Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns.
• Evaluate and document machine performance.
• Maintain ink in printers and labels in labelers. Un-jam assemblers as needed.
• Tape boxes shut, label the boxes, and stack for shipment.
• Prepare paperwork at the end of the shift for the following shift, noting any problems or exceptions that occurred.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures
