Job summary

Silgan Specialty Packaging in Triadelphia, WV is seeking a production operator to support molding operations. You will prepare production paperwork, monitor machine operation, pull samples for quality checks, identify nonconformities and report them to the Shift QA, and evaluate product quality against standards.

You will also maintain a clean, safe work area, perform cleaning and sorting duties, start up injection molding machines, clean grinders, and troubleshoot minor machine issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production paperwork for machine start-up and operation.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected into storage boxes and counted correctly.
• Pull shots for quality checks following machine re-starts or as needed.
• Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA.
• Evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards.
• Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns.
• Evaluate and document machine performance.
• Tape boxes shut, label the boxes, and stack for shipment.
• Prepare paperwork at the end of the shift for the following shift.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures
• Start up Injection molding machines
• Clean out grinders
• Trouble shoot minor machine/part issues
